Royals Right Now:

The Royals enter their fourth meeting with the Nailers this season (1-2-0) with an 8-12-4-0 record after defeating the Worcester Railers on Wednesday, December 11th, 5-2, at the DCU Center.

The victory put Reading back in the win column after dropping their first of three games this week against Wheeling on Sunday, December 8th, 6-2. Forward Tyler Gratton (7) and Gianfranco Cassaro (5) both scored for Reading in the loss at WesBanco Arena.

Gratton's goal tied him with Connor McMenamin for the team lead in goals, while Cassaro's goal made him the fifth highest goal scoring blue-liner in the league

Scouting the Nailers:

Wheeling enters the Friday face-off with a 15-3-1-0 record (31 points) through 19 games to open their 2024-25 campaign. The Nailers have earned a point in 14-straight games (13-0-1) with their last regulation loss coming on November 1st to Toledo, 3-2.

ECHL affiliates to the Pittsburgh Penguins and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Wheeling's offense is led by forward Kyle Jackson who leads the team in goals and ranks second on the club in points behind Jordan Martel's team-high 21.
