CREDENTIALING
To request media credentials on a full-season or individual game basis for the Reading Royals, please contact Broadcast and Media Relations Director Erik Jesberger at ejesberger@royalshockey.com at least 48 hours before the game's start time.
The ECHL has mandated certain COVID-19 restrictions that MUST be followed by media members.
Media members must show proof of vaccination and be masked at all times when in vicinity of any players or authorized hockey personnel. Media will be allowed player access only in the designated interview area outside of the home locker room on the event level as long as the media member is vaccinated and masked. Press conferences will be conducted with a distance of at least six feet between the player or authorized hockey personnel and the media member.
Other than the interview area, media members’ designated area to watch the game will be from press row above section 120 or a designated overflow section.
Following each home game, head coach and select player availability will be conducted approximately 15 minutes following the end of each match if present media members require quotes. Please inform whether or not this is needed before puck drop.
During away games, media availability will be subject to the needs of media groups and availability of the team. Press should contact Jesberger to organize away game conferences.
Credential pickup will occur at the media entrance on Penn St. The media entrance is located in the loading dock area to the right of the box office.
Photographers and other media members can work in the press room in addition to press row. This room is located on the event level near the entrance of the locker room on the left side of the wall.
Press can enter the arena at 5:00 p.m. on gamedays and work as long as needed.
There is no parking lot for media members.
Photographers
Subject to exceptions, only Purdon photgraphers are allowed to shoot between the bench area during games. There is no more than one at a time allowed in that space.
Photographers are free to travel around the arena to take images. There is one photography hole at the Zamboni entrance. Please utilize this, but do not use it for an extended period of time if another photographer would like to take photos from there.
No locker room or locker hallway access will be allowed under any circumstances.
