Royals Seek Two-Game Series Sweep Against Railers in Worcester

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, conclude a two-game series with the Worcester Railers at the DCU Center on Saturday, December 28th at 6:05 PM.

The Royals return home to host the Trois-Rivières Lions for a three-game series on Friday, January 10th and Saturday, January 11th at 7 PM, as well as Sunday, January 12th at 3 PM. The home games feature the 'Fans Pick the Music Night,' Star Wars Night, and Puck N' Pancakes promotional games, respectively.

Royals Right Now:

The Royals enter their fifth meeting of the season with the Railers (4-0-0) with a 10-15-4-0 record after downing the Railers at Santander Arena, 2-1, on Friday, December 27th. Prior to the series opener, the Royals split a two-game series against Adirondack. The Royals defeated the Thunder, 6-3, on Saturday, December 21st after a 4-1 loss to Adirondack on Friday, December 20th.

The Royals are led by forwards Tyler Gratton, Todd Skirving and Connor McMenamin in goals (7) while Matt Miller holds the team lead in assists (13) and points (16).

Scouting the Railers:

Worcester enters the series finale with a 10-16-1-2 record (23 points) through the first 29 games of their 2024-25 campaign. Prior to the series opener, the Railers split their two-game series against the Maine Mariners with an 8-5 loss on Sunday, December 22nd after a 5-1 win on Saturday, December 21st.

ECHL affiliates to the New York Islanders and Bridgeport Islanders, Worcester's offense is led by forward Anthony Repaci who has a team-high 19 goals and 34 points, which rank second and tie for third in the league, respectively. Defenseman Connor Welsh leads Worcester in assists with 19 on the season.
