Royals Conclude Two-Game Series with Thunder in Adirondack

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, conclude a two-game series with the Adirondack Thunder on Friday, December 21st at Cool Insuring Arena.

The Royals return home to open a two-game series with the Worcester Railers at home on Friday, December 27th at 7 PM at Santander Arena, before taking on the Railers at the DCU Center on Saturday, December 28th at 6:05 PM.

Royals Right Now:

The Royals enter their eighth meeting of the season with the Thunder this season (2-4-1) with an 8-15-4-0 record after suffering a third consecutive loss, all by a 4-1 final score.

The Royals are led by forwards Tyler Gratton, Todd Skirving and Connor McMenamin in goals while Matt Miller holds the team lead in assists (12) and points (15).

Scouting the Thunder:

Adirondack enters the series with an 11-10-0-1 record (23 points) through 22 games to open their 2024-25 campaign. The Thunder got back into the win column with their victory over the Royals on Friday, December 20th, 4-1, after suffering a two-game series sweep to Maine on Friday, December 13th, 5-2, and Saturday, December 14th, 3-1.

ECHL affiliates to the New Jersey Devils and Utica Comets, Adirondack's offense is led by forward Kevin O'Neil who leads the team in assists (14) and points (19), while forward Andre Ghantous leads the club in goals (7). Four of Ghantous' seven goals this season have come against the Royals, including his lone multi-goal game of the season earned in Adirondack's 3-2 win over Reading on Saturday, November 30th, 3-2.
