Reading, PA –  The Reading Royals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, announced Wednesday forward Michael Huntebrinker has been returned on loan from Lehigh Valley to Reading. The second-year professional skated in his first four AHL games with Lehigh Valley from Dec. 14 – Jan. 5. With the Royals, he has scored a goal in his last six games (8g, 2a), registered at least a point in 18 of 19 games, and ranks third on the squad with 11 goals (24 pts.).Last season, Huntebrinker was named an ECHL All-Star and Reading’s “Rookie of the Year,” scoring 20 goals and 41 points. His efforts as a rookie earned the 5-foot-11, 194-lb. forward an AHL contract with the Phantoms. At Minnesota State from 2013-17, the native of Chesterfield, MO tallied 53 points (15g).The Royals are home Wednesday vs. the Adirondack Thunder at 7:00 p.m. It’s “College Night,” with $5 tickets for those that purchase with a valid college email at http://bit.ly/Jan9College.
