Royals announce pair of preseason games against Adirondack

Reading is home Oct. 6  vs. Thunder

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, announced Thursday the team will host the Adirondack Thunder for a home preseason game at Santander Arena on Sat., Oct. 6 at 7:00 p.m. Details about tickets to the game will be announced at a later date.

The Royals are at Adirondack on Fri., Oct. 5 at 7:00 p.m.

Reading’s regular season begins with a mammoth opening weekend vs. Worcester on Sat., Oct. 13 at 7:00 p.m. and Sun., Oct. 14 at 5:00 p.m. Festivities on the 13th include a special pregame “red carpet” presentation for the new team and a block party with food, drinks and entertainment.

Head Coach Kirk MacDonald has started to assemble the 2018-19 squad, signing forwards Jack Riley and Adam Schmidt. Each played for Reading last season. The Royals will announce their next player signing Fri., June 29 at 4:00 p.m.

March in the Wyomissing 4th of July Parade with the RoyalsCatch candy from Royals mascot Slapshot at the Wyomissing 4th of July Parade, which kicks off at 10:00 a.m. All Royals fans can march with the team; wear purple and RSVP by calling 610-898-7825 and meet us at 9:30 a.m. at the Atonement Lutheran Church on Wyomissing Boulevard.

Royals at Community Days July 2-7, join special guest Steven Swavely on Fri.The Reading Royals encourage all fans to join us at the 2018 Greater Governor Mifflin Community Days Mon., July 2 – Sat., July 7 at Governor Mifflin High School. Forward Steven Swavely will be there to meet fans on Fri., July 6 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. The Royals will be there from 5:00-10:00 p.m. each night!
