G Dekanich returned on loan to Reading, de Haas earns recall

de Haas has professional-best night Saturday and recalled to Lehigh Valley

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, proud affiliates of the Philadelphia Flyers, announced a pair of roster moves Monday; Reading has received goaltender Mark Dekanich on loan from Lehigh Valley and D James de Haas has been recalled by Lehigh Valley.

Reading received de Haas on Sat., Nov. 11 and he recorded a professional-best four points (4a) that night to help the Royals blast Jacksonville, 5-1. The rookie is tied for a team-best seven assists. de Haas has played three games with Lehigh Valley and is seeking his first AHL point.

Dekanich spent three days in Lehigh Valley; he was recalled on loan Friday. This season, he is 3-2-0-0 with a 2.80 goals against average and .898 save percentage. He topped Reading with 21 wins last season.

The Royals are on the road for the next three games, starting Wed., Nov. 15 at Manchester for a 10:00 a.m. start time. Reading plays Brampton Friday at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Watch the games on BCTV and listen on Rumba 1340 via iHeartRadio.
