Royals Complete Future Considerations Transactions

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, today announced that the team has acquired the ECHL rights to forward Sebastien Sylvestre from the Elmira Jackals as completion of the future considerations element of the transaction that sent defenseman Greg Amlong to Elmira on November 12, 2016. In a separate transaction completed today, the Royals also traded the ECHL rights to forward Johnny McInnis to the South Carolina Stingrays in completion of the future considerations element of the transaction that brought defenseman Chase Golightly to the Royals on March 9, 2017.

Sylvestre (6’1/191) (23), who hails from Boucherville, Quebec, will be entering his fourth season of pro. He led the Jackals last season with fifty-three points (23g-30a) and 100 penalty minutes in sixty-four games. McInnis (27) was acquired by the Royals from the Utah Grizzlies on December 19, 2016. In his third year of pro, he registered nine points (7g-2a) and seventeen penalty minutes in thirty-one regular season games with the Royals. McInnis also played in three post-season games for Reading without registering any points or penalty minutes.
