Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, today announced that the team has signed forward Justin Danforth to an Amateur Tryout Agreement. In a separate transaction, defenseman Travis Jeke has been released from his ECHL Standard Players Contract.
Danforth (5’9 / 183) (23), who hails from Oshawa, Ontario, recently completed his senior season at Sacred Heart University, where he led the team with thirty-two points (10g-22a) and fifty-three penalty minutes in thirty seven games for the Pioneers. Danforth, who led Sacred Heart in scoring for three of his four years at the school, recorded a total of 124 points (42g-82a) in 147 total collegiate games with the Pioneers. Jeke picked up two penalty minutes in three games with the Royals.
