Royals Ready to Drop the Puck (or Maybe the Microphone) at Town Hall Meeting on Thursday

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, remind fans that the team will host an open forum question and answer session about the fast approaching sixteenth season of Royals hockey at the team’s annual Town Hall Meeting this Thursday, September 15, from 6:30 pm8:00 pm at Stokesay Castle (141 Stokesay Castle Lane, Reading, PA 19606; 610-375-6100).

As first introduced in last season’s THM, the Royals will once again give away two free tickets on the glass for the team’s season opener on Saturday, October 15 (7:00 pm) at Santander Arena in Reading against the Elmira Jackals for the best question posed through Twitter. Send your question to the Twitter handle @RoyalsBroadcast, and we’ll let the fans in attendance at the THM that night determine which question deserves to win the two free tickets to the home opener.

This season’s THM will feature Flyers’ Assistant General Manager Barry Hanrahan, Royals’ owner Jack Gulati, team President Drew Bell, Head Coach Larry Courville, Assistant Coach Kirk MacDonald, and Director of Sales and Marketing Dave Garson, who will address the Town Hall crowd and open the floor to questions from fans. The Royals also anticipate the attendance Olivier Labelle, who will be returning to Reading for his fifth season with the organization.

A number of pertinent topics will be addressed during this season’s Town Hall Meeting, including the affiliation relationship with the Flyers, the current state of the ECHL, the Royals’ schedule, the team’s roster, pending player personnel decisions, the organization’s broadcast plans, and several new and interesting elements in the promotional schedule. We also anticipate that the organization will display the new jerseys that the team will wear in Season Sixteen.

Season Sixteen of “Hometown Hockey” kicks off for the Royals on Saturday, October 15, (7:00 pm) when the Elmira Jackals visit Santander Arena. Season Tickets and individual game for the Royals’ 2016-17 ECHL season are currently available. Call 610-898-7825 for more information or log onto www.royalshockey.com.
