Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, today announced that the organization will give away one of the team’s brand new Fifteenth Anniversary jerseys to a person in attendance at the annual Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, August 27, 2015, from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm at Stokesay Castle (141 Stokesay Castle Lane, Reading, PA 19606; 610-375-6100).
The organization is also going to give away two free tickets on the glass for the team’s home opener on Saturday, October 24 (7:00 pm) against the Elmira Jackals for the best question posed through Twitter. Send your question to the Twitter handle: @RoyalsBroadcast, and we’ll let the fans in attendance at the THM that night determine which question deserves to win the two free tickets to the home opener.

This season’s Town Hall Meeting will feature Flyers’ Assistant General Manager Barry Hanrahan, Royals’ owner Jack Gulati, team President Drew Bell, Head Coach Larry Courville, and Assistant Coach Kirk MacDonald, who will address the Town Hall crowd and open the floor to questions from fans. The Royals also anticipate the attendance one player currently on the team’s roster, and the organization will introduce the team’s new equipment manager, Jason MacDonald.
A number of pertinent topics will be addressed during this season’s Town Hall Meeting, including the affiliation relationship with the Flyers, the current state of the ECHL, the Royals’ schedule, the team’s roster, pending player personnel decisions, the organization’s broadcast plans, and several new and interesting elements in the promotional schedule. We also anticipate having a supply of newly-minted Fifteenth Anniversary gear at the THM.
The Fifteenth Season of Royals’ hockey kicks off with back-to-back games against the South Carolina Stingrays at North Charleston Coliseum on Saturday (October 17) and Sunday (October 18). Reading then opens the home portion of the team’s schedule on Saturday, October 24, (7:00 pm) when the Elmira Jackals visit Santander Arena.
