Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League, today announced that the team has loaned defenseman Bryant Molle to the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL. In a separate transaction, the Royals signed forward Justin Crandall to an ECHL contract.
This marks the first career trip to the AHL for Molle (6’3/221), a fourth year pro from Anchorage, Alaska, who serves as the Royals’ team captain. Molle has registered twenty-points (2g-18a) and eighty-two penalty minutes in seventy games for the Royals this season. Molle, who is playing to a plus-19 (+19) this season for Reading, is the team’s all-time career leader in plus-minus, playing to plus-55 (+55) in 191 career games over the last three seasons with the Royals.
Crandall, who recently completed his senior season at the University of Minnesota – Duluth, was signed by the Royals to an Amateur Tryout Agreement on March 31 and recorded three points (1g-2a) in four games for the team. He was released from his ATO yesterday.
