Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that the Bears have loaned forward T.J. Syner to Reading. In separate transactions previously completed, the Royals placed forward Ian Watters on the team’s ECHL Reserve List and activated defenseman Aaron Gens from the Reserve List.
This marks the second stint this season with the Royals for Syner, a second year pro from Springfield, Massachusetts. He recorded seven points (2g-5a) in the first six games of the season with Reading, picking up at least one point in five of those six games. Syner, who is currently riding a four game point streak with Reading (1g-5a=6pts), had three multi-point performances in his first stint with the team. In two games with Hershey this season, Syner has picked up five penalty minutes.
Reading returns to action this afternoon (Sunday, November 17 @ 5:15 pm), when the team will face the Toledo Walleye at Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio. Sunday’s game day broadcast on CBS Sports Radio in Reading (1240 am and 98.5 fm) will kick off at 4:45 pm with the pre-game warm-up show presented by Highmark Blue Shield. Sunday’s game, as with all Royals’ road games this season, will be televised locally in Berks County, Pennsylvania, on BCTV courtesy of Boscov’s Travel and Apple Vacations.
