Forward Stanislav Galiev Reassigned to Hershey

Forward Stanislav Galiev Reassigned to Hershey

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that the Capitals have recalled forward Stanislav Galiev from the Royals and reassigned him to the Bears.

Galiev, a second year pro who hails from Moscow, Russia, is tied for the scoring lead for Reading with thirteen points (5g-8a) in fourteen games. This marks the first recall of the season for Galiev, who leads the Royals with fifty-five shots on goal. He fired a team season-high eleven shots in last Saturday’s 3-0 loss to the Cincinnati Cyclones. Galiev has registered twenty-eight goals and thirty-two assists (sixty-points) in sixty total regular season games over the past two seasons with Reading. An integral member of the Royals’ 2013 Kelly Cup Championship team, Galiev recorded eleven points (4g-7a) in ten playoff games for Reading last year.

The Royals return to action on Wednesday (November 27 @ 7:05 pm) when the team will face the Elmira Jackals at Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania. The first 1500 fans fifteen years of age and older will receive a Royals’ Championship T-Shirt courtesy of National Penn Bank. Wednesday’s game will also feature the Steak-umm Burger Meal and Ticket Deal, when $20.00 will get fans a purple zone ticket, a Steak-umm Burger, fries and a large soda. Wednesday’s game will also include a post-game ham shoot courtesy of Redner’s Warehouse Markets. The pre-game warm-up show presented by Highmark Blue Shield will kick off at 6:35 pm on CBS Sports Radio 1240 am and 98.5 fm on the Royals Broadcast Network presented by Boscov’s Travel and Apple Vacations.
