Royals Road Games Return to BCTV

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, Berks Community Television (BCTV), America ONE Sports, Boscov’s Travel, and Apple Vacations today jointly announced the renewal of the partnership to televise Royals’ road games during the 2013-2014 season on BCTV in Berks County, Pennsylvania.

Royals TV presented by Boscov’s Travel and Apple Vacations will launch its fourth season on October 5, 2013, at 7:00 pm with a replay of the decisive Game Five of the Kelly Cup Championship Finals against the Stockton Thunder, which was played on May 25, 2013, in Stockton Arena. The video replay, which is scheduled to coincide with the opening of the Royals’ Pre-Season Training Camp, will have an encore running on Sunday, October 6, 2013, at 9:00 am. The first live television broadcast on Royals TV for the 2013-14 will take place on the Friday, October 25, 2015, (7:05 pm), which will be televised from First Arena in Elmira, New York, where the Royals open the road portion of their schedule against the Elmira Jackals.

Royals TV will carry all thirty-six regular season away games, as well as all road playoff games, live and on BCTV cable channels throughout Berks County, Pennsylvania, which can be accessed on Comcast Reading Cable Channel 2, Service Electric Cable Channel 19, and Comcast Southern Berks Channel 965. The televised feed, which will be provided by America ONE Sports, will include the simulcast of the Royals Radio Network audio feed courtesy of Cumulus Media, Inc. and Sports Radio Berks 1240 am and 98.5 fm in Reading. As with last season, BCTV will also re-broadcast Friday night games the following Saturday morning at 9:00 am; and all Saturday night road games will be replayed on the following Sunday morning at 9:00 am.

We also want to thank once again our radio partner, Cumulus Media and Sports Radio Berks, for permitting the simulcast of the game night radio broadcast.”

The Royals kick off the defense of the team’s 2013 Kelly Cup Championship with a two-game weekend set at Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania, against the South Carolina Stingrays. On Saturday, October 19, 2013, the Royals open the 2013-14 season against the Stingrays at 7:35 pm, followed by a 4:05 pm start against South Carolina in Game Two of the season on Sunday, October 20.
