Reading, PA - The Reading Royals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, announced that defenseman Cooper Wylie has been loaned to Reading by Lehigh Valley (AHL).

Wylie, 25, opened his first professional season skating in one game with Lehigh Valley on October 17th after attending Reading's training camp where he skated in both of the Royals preseason games. The Stillwater, Minnesota native signed an AHL contract with Lehigh Valley on August 4, 2026 following four years at St. Cloud State University where he recorded 35 (10g-25a) in 130 career games.

Last season, the 6-foot-2, 205-pound blue-liner appeared in all 36 games with the Huskies, logging collegiate career highs in assists (11) and points (14) while serving as one of the team captains.

Wylie attended the 2024 Philadelphia Flyers Development Camp after aiding St. Cloud State men's hockey program's second NCHC Frozen Faceoff championship and advance to the NCAA Regional Final as a freshman in 2022-23.

Prior to his collegiate career, Wylie played two seasons of junior hockey with the Waterloo Black Hawks of the USHL, totaling 45 points (8g-37a) in 99 games.
