Reading, PA - The Reading Royals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, announced that forwards Liam Devlin and Kyle Haskins have signed with the club for the 2026-27 season.

Devlin, 25, is entering his second-full professional season following a 59-game campaign with Reading where he registered 15 points (8g-7a) and skated in four of the Royals five 2026 Kelly Cup Playoff games. A native of Needham, Massachusetts, Devlin played one game with the Orlando Solar Bears in the 2024-25 season after a four-season career with the University of New Hampshire (UNH) Wildcats, where he accumulated 83 points (43g-40a), 130 penalty minutes and a -13 rating across 132 NCAA career games.

"Super excited to be back for the upcoming season," stated Devlin. "I hope the fans have enjoyed the Berks County summer and are ready to get Santander Arena rocking."

"Liam is a hard working player and well liked by his teammates,” stated Anthony Peters, Head Coach and General Manager. "He comes to the rink every day and is willing to do whatever it takes to help us win. He has so much upside in his game and we are excited to see what he can do this up coming season.”

At UNH, the 5'11", 192-pound, left-shot forward was also awarded the Frank "The Fan" Halbert Fan Favorite Award in 2023-24, recognizing his popularity amongst the Wildcats' fanbase. Prior to his NCAA career, Devlin played junior hockey with the Omaha Lancers and Chicago Steel in the United States Hockey League (USHL) where he totaled 29 points (18g-11a), 130 penalty minutes and a +6 rating in 84 USHL career games.

Haskins, 26, is entering his second-full professional season after recording 28 points (11g-17a) in 63 regular season games and skating in all five of Reading's 2026 Kelly Cup Playoff games, where he recorded one point (1a). Prior to Reading, the Huntington, Vermont native logged seven points (3g-4a) across 13 games during the 2024-25 campaign between Orlando and Greenville after completing his collegiate career at Canisius University.

"I am excited to be coming back this season," stated Haskins. "We have a great group of guys I'm looking forward to working with again. Super excited for the season to get going and to see the fans soon at Santander Arena."

"Kyle is a player that just kept getting better all last season, he earned everything he was given,” stated Peters. "He can play in every situation, he is highly competitive and he continues to work to keep getting better. He has so much upside in his game, we are excited to get him back here and help our team take another step forward.”

With the Golden Griffins, the 5'10", 185-pound, left-shot forward showcased his two-way play, recording 23 points (11g-12a) in 37 games during the 2024-25 season. Over 129 NCAA games between Canisius (2023-25) and Michigan State University (2020-23), Haskins totaled 44 points (16g-28a), 61 penalty minutes and a -35 rating.

Prior to his NCAA career, Haskins played two seasons in the United States Hockey League (USHL) for the Waterloo Black Hawks where he accumulated 43 points (20-23a), 92 penalty minutes and a 18 rating in 106 career games.

At the international level, Haskins played for Team USA in the 2017 U18 Hlinka Gretzky Cup where he was teammates with former Royal Will MacKinnon.

Home Opener:

The Royals player their home opener at Santander Arena on Saturday, October 24 at 7:00 p.m. against Kalamazoo. The home opener opens a two-game series with the Wings which concludes on Sunday, October 25 at 3:00 p.m. The Royals hoist a record of 9-11-1-3 in home openers with their last home opener victory coming against the Norfolk Admirals, 6-4, on October 23 of the 2021-22 season.
