Reading, PA - The Reading Royals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, open a two-game series with the Adirondack Thunder on Friday, December 20th at Santander Arena. Royals Right Now:
The Royals enter their seventh meeting of the season with the Thunder this season (2-3-1) with an 8-14-4-0 record after suffering a two-game series sweep to the Nailers on Friday, December 13th and Saturday, December 14th, both 4-1 finals.
The Royals are led by forwards Tyler Gratton and Connor McMenamin in goals while Matt Miller holds the team lead in assists (12) and points (15).
Scouting the Thunder:
Adirondack enters the series with a 10-10-0-1 record (21 points) through 21 games to open their 2024-25 campaign. The Thunder, like Reading, have dropped each of their last two games after suffering a two-game series sweep to Maine on Friday, December 13th, 5-2, and Saturday, December 14th, 3-1.
ECHL affiliates to the New Jersey Devils and Utica Comets, Adirondack's offense is led by forward Kevin O'Neil who leads the team in assists (14) and points (19), while forward Andre Ghantous leads the club in goals (7). Four of Ghantous' seven goals this season have come against the Royals, including his lone multi-goal game of the season earned in Adirondack's 3-2 win over Reading on Saturday, November 30th, 3-2.
