Royals Right Now:
The Royals enter their fifth meeting with the Nailers this season (1-3-0) with an 8-13-4-0 record after falling to Wheeling in the series opener on Friday, December 13th, 4-1. Todd Skirving scored Reading's lone goal on an assist by Nick Capone, who recorded his first professional point with the helper.
The Royals are led by forwards Tyler Gratton and Connor McMenamin in goals while Matt Miller holds the team lead in assists (12) and points (15).
Scouting the Nailers:
Wheeling enters the series finale with a 16-3-1-0 record (33 points) through 20 games to open their 2024-25 campaign. The Nailers have earned a point in 15-straight games (14-0-1) with their last regulation loss coming on November 1st to Toledo, 3-2.
ECHL affiliates to the Pittsburgh Penguins and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Wheeling's offense is led by forward Kyle Jackson who leads the team in goals (10) and ranks second on the club in points behind Jordan Martel's team-high 24.
