Royals Host Mariners, Post-Game Skate with Players, on Saturday Square-off

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, conclude a two-game home stand on Saturday, November 23rd against the Maine Mariners at 7:00 PM at Santander Arena.

All fans are welcomed to attend the post-game skate with players following the game. Fans must bring their own skates and enter the arena with their skates through the front entrance of Santander Arena on Penn Street. Fans can drop off their skates at the information desk in sec. 101 and return to the information desk following the conclusion of the game to retrieve their skates and be escorted down to the ice. Fan's game tickets are their ticket to the post-game skate.

Royals Right Now:

The Royals enter the home stand finale with a 6-9-3 record after falling to Norfolk in overtime on Friday, November 22nd, 4-3. Forwards Tyler Gratton, Jacques Bouquot and Ryan Leibold scored for Reading while goaltender Keith Petruzzelli saved 28 of 32 shots faced.

Forwards Connor McMenamin and Matt Miller are tied for the team lead in points (13). Gratton tied with McMenamin for the team lead in goals with his sixth of the season on Friday. Miller has registered a team-high 11 assists.

Scouting the Mariners:

Maine enters the Saturday showdown win one win in their last four games (1-3) a 5-8-0 record (10 points) through 13 games to open their 2024-25 campaign. ECHL affiliates to the Boston Bruins and Providence Bruins, Maine's offense is led by forward Evan Vierling with 11 points (3g-8a). Forward Patrick Guay leads the Mariners in goals with five on the season, which accounts for all of his points through 13 games.

The Mariners have taken the three meetings with the Royals so far this season with an overtime win on November 13th, 3-2, coming after a 3-0 shutout win on Saturday, November 2nd, and 5-3 win on Sunday, November 3rd.
