Royals Sign NHL-Experienced Netminder, Kaden Fulcher to SPC

The Reading Royals, proud affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, announced Tuesday the signing of goaltender Kaden Fulcher to a standard player contract.

Fulcher, 24, is a 6-3, 209-pound goaltender in his fifth professional season. A native of Brigden, Ontario, Canada, he has played in the Detroit Red Wings organization with the Toledo Walleye (49 gp: 25-25-6) in the ECHL and the Grand Rapids Griffins (11 gp: 3-5-3) in the American Hockey League.

Fulcher has appeared in one National Hockey League game with the Detroit Red Wings. As a rookie, he saved nine of 11 shots faced in 27 minutes of time in net on April 6, 2019 against the Buffalo Sabres.

Last season, Fulcher hoisted an 11-10-0 record, 3.44 goals allowed average, .879 save percentage and two shutouts across 23 starts between the Griffins (4) and Walleye (19).

Between the 2018-21 seasons, Fulcher was teammates with Lehigh Valley Phantoms goaltender Pat Nagle on the Griffins and Walleye.

Prior to his professional career, Fulcher played 115 games over three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). He played for the Sarnia Sting before completing his junior hockey league play in two full seasons with the Hamilton Bulldogs.
