The Reading Royals, proud affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, announced Wednesday the acquisition of goaltender Hayden Lavigne from the Allen Americans in exchange for future considerations.
Lavigne, 25, is a 6-foot-3, 201-pound netminder with two years of professional hockey experience. The Brampton, Canada native played collegiately at the University of Michigan where he recorded a 31-26-7 record with a .903 save percentage.
Previously, he played five games in the SPHL for the Birmingham Bulls(4) and Pensacola Ice Flyers(1). He went 3-2-0 and hoisted a .895 save percentage and 3.16 goals-against average.
In 27 ECHL appearances, he recorded a 9-10-5 record, .904 save percentage and a 3.21 goals-against average.
Royals defenseman Garrett Cecere played with Lavigne from 2013 to 2014 with the Tri-City Storm in the USHL.
