G Buffalo heads to Reading from Adirondack for future considerations

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, announced Saturday the club has acquired rookie goaltender Devin Buffalo from Adirondack for future considerations. The trade gives the Royals three netminders – Andrew D’Agostini, Buffalo and Joel Eisenhower (EBUG). In nine games this season, the 25-year-old is 3-3-1-0 with a 3.82 goals against average and .880 save percentage split between Adirondack (6 GP) and Greenville. Buffalo accumulated a 3-1-1-0 record (3.12 GAA, .904 sv.%) with the Thunder.The Royals return from the all-star break Saturday at 7:05 p.m. at Wheeling.A Dartmouth College graduate, Buffalo generated his best numbers in his senior season and was named a 2018 Hobey Baker Finalist (15-11-1 record, 2.84 GAA, .906 sv.%), finishing top-four in fan voting. Buffalo was named to the All-Ivy League Second Team as a senior and was also a 2018 Hockey Humanitarian Finalist for his work in his home community of Wetaskiwin, AB.
