Huntebrinker scores, Melcher and Gulati discuss ideas

Reading, PA–  Reading Royals Owner Jack Gulati, General Manager and Chief Operating Officer Ray Melcher and forward Michael Huntebrinker helped represent the Reading Royals at the 2018 CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic this past week in Indianapolis. The Indy Fuel hosted the All-Star Classic Monday and Michael Huntebrinker scored the only goal for Team North.

Indy also hosted a two-day Winter ECHL Board of Governors meeting that Gulati and Melcher helped contribute to. The duo represented the Royals and Allen Americans. At the meeting, the ECHL discussed what might better the league in the immediate future. Gulati and Melcher have helped keep the Royals prominent members within the 27-team league.

“We’re really excited for both franchises moving forward,” Melcher said. “We have some very important home games the rest of the season and look forward to a successful playoff push.”

The Royals are home Sat., Jan. 20 at 7:00 p.m. for Star Wars, THON and Scout Night at Santander Arena. The team has three home games before heading on a five-game road trip.

On Sun., Jan. 21, the Royals host Brampton again for a 3:00 p.m. puck drop. Any fan that comes to the game in Eagles or Royals gear receives a free ticket to Reading’s game on Wed., Jan. 24 at 7:00 p.m. against Toledo.
