Royals and Santander Arena Team Up with Greater Berks Food Bank to Present FREE Pre-Season Game

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania, and the Greater Berks Food Bank today announced that they have joined forces to present a FREE pre-season matchup between the Royals and the Elmira Jackals on Friday, October 7 (7:00 pm) at Santander Arena. In order to gain admittance to the pre-season game, fans are requested to simply bring and donate a non-perishable food item, which will be collected for the Greater Berks Food Bank at Santander Arena that evening.

The pre-season game at Santander Arena against the Jackals will kick off a home-and-home pre-season set with the Jackals. The two teams will face-off in the back end of the two-game series the following night at First Arena in Elmira, New York, on Saturday, October 8 (7:05 pm).

Season Sixteen of “Hometown Hockey” kicks off for the Royals on Saturday, October 15, (7:00 pm) when the Jackals will visit Santander Arena.
