Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, today announced that forward Cam Reid has been loaned to the Hershey Bears of the AHL.

This is the third trip this year to the AHL for Reid, a fourth year pro from Tsawwassen, Delta, British Columbia. He played two games with the Utica Comets in mid-December, recording one assist. He also played one game for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in late November. Reid has played 85 AHL games during his career (6g-21a=27pts, 35 pims). Reid has recorded twenty-five points (9g-16a) and sixteen penalty minutes in twenty-eight games with the Royals this season.

The Royals return to action on Friday (January 8, 2016 @ 7:00 pm) when the team will face the Toledo Walleye for the first time this year at Santander Arena in Reading. On Friday, the Royals will celebrate “Teacher Appreciation Night” when the organization will honor local educators for their contribution to our community. That night, the team will also host a ‘Battle of the Schools’ in our “Color Wars” event.
