Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the NHL, today announced that forward Robbie Czarnik has been loaned to the Providence Bruins of the AHL.
This marks the first trip to the AHL this season for Czarnik, a fifth year pro from Detroit, Michigan. Czarnik, who scored the overtime game winner in Reading’s 3-2 OT win over the Brampton Beast on Monday, is currently tied for the league lead with fifteen goals (15g-12a=27pts) in 29 games with Reading. His twenty-seven points is tied for fourteenth in the ECHL scoring race. Czarnik, who has had at least one point in his last four games with Reading (3g-2a=5pts), has scored eight goals in his last thirteen games. He is currently third in the ECHL with 104 shots on goal. Czarnik has played 145 AHL games in his career (14g-24a=38pts, 89 pims) primarily with the Manchester Monarchs.
Reading closes out the team’s four game road trip (as well as Calendar Year 2015) by traveling to Glens Falls, New York, for the first time in team history, where the Royals will face Adirondack Thunder (Thursday, December 31 @ 5:30 pm). The game night broadcast for Thursday’s matchup can be heard live on CBS SportsRadio 1240 am and 98.5 in Reading, Pennsylvania, starting with the pre-game warm-up show presented by Highmark Blue Shield at 5:00 pm Eastern Time.
