Forward Pavel Padakin Loaned to Reading

Forward Pavel Padakin Loaned to Reading

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, today announced that forward Pavel Padakin has been loaned from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the AHL to Reading.

Padakin (6’0/201) (21), a first year pro who hails from Kiev, Ukraine, has recorded four assists and eight penalty minutes in twenty-three games with the Phantoms this season. Last year, in his final season of major junior, he was second on his team with twenty-six goals (26g-28a=54pts) and was third on the team with ninety-penalty minutes in sixty-nine games with the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League. Prior to turning pro, Padakin registered 147 points (76g-71a) and 234 penalty minutes in the WHL.

This afternoon (Sunday, December 6 @ 3:00 pm), the Royals take on the Manchester Monarchs at Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire, for the third time in three days. Sunday’s game day broadcast can be heard live on CBS SportsRadio 1240 am and 98.5 in Reading, Pennsylvania, starting with the pre-game warm-up show presented by Highmark Blue Shield at 2:30 pm Eastern Time. As with all Royals’ road games, Sunday’s game will be televised live in Berks County, Pennsylvania on BCTV courtesy of Boscov’s Travel and Apple Vacations. Streaming audio is available free of charge on the Royals’ website (follow the ‘headset’ icon); and streaming video is available on a pay-per-view basis through ECHL.TV.
