Slapshot is Calling All Kids to Get Their Clang On with Cowbell Chorus Presented by Chick-fil-A

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, today introduced the team’s latest (and probably loudest and rowdiest) performance group for game nights at Santander Arena in this Fifteenth Anniversary season: Slapshot’s Cowbell Chorus Presented by Chick-fil-A.

All members of Slapshot’s Cowbell Chorus, which is open to everyone ages two through twelve, will receive an official cowbell, a ‘team’ t-shirt, and a free ticket to five select Royals’ games: October 24 (v Elmira Jackals), November 7 (v Greenville Road Warriors), January 23 (v Brampton Beast), February 14 (v Adirondack Thunder) and April 9 (v Wheeling Nailers). Parents, friends and family members can also purchase a ticket to these games with a $5.00 discount off the regular box office price, provided those tickets are purchased prior to the game day. Kids enrolled in Slapshot’s Cowbell Chorus also receive a coupon for a FREE Chick-fil-A sandwich.

Membership in Slapshot’s Cowbell Chorus is just $12.00, which can be submitted in person at the Lion’s Den Team Store at Santander Arena or a credit card payment submitted through the Lion’s Den On-Line Store. Fans can also print a membership form from the Royals’ website (www.royalshockey.com) and send the completed form along with a check or money order to Slapshot’s Cowbell Chorus c/o Reading Royals Hockey, 700 Penn Street, Reading, PA 19602. Members who submit their membership forms and payment through the internet or mail will receive confirmation of the receipt of payment along with instructions on how to pick up your membership package.

The Fifteenth Season of Royals’ hockey kicks off with back-to-back games against the South Carolina Stingrays at North Charleston Coliseum on Saturday (October 17) and Sunday (October 18). Reading then opens the home portion of the team’s schedule on Saturday, October 24, (7:00 pm) when the Elmira Jackals visit Santander Arena.
