Royals and Santander Arena Team Up with Greater Berks Food Bank to Present FREE Pre-Season Game

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania, and the Greater Berks Food Bank today announced that they have joined forces to present a FREE pre-season matchup between the Royals and the Norfolk Admirals on Saturday, October 10 (7:00 pm) at Santander Arena. In order to gain admittance to the pre-season game, fans are requested to simply bring and donate a non-perishable food item, which will be collected for the Greater Berks Food Bank at Santander Arena that evening.

The pre-season game at Santander Arena against the Admirals will actually be the second pre-season game for the Royals, who open the pre-season with a matchup against the Elmira Jackals at First Arena in Elmira, New York, on Friday, October 9 (7:05 pm).

The Fifteenth Season of Royals’ hockey kicks off with back-to-back games against the South Carolina Stingrays at North Charleston Coliseum on Saturday (October 17) and Sunday (October 18). Reading then opens the home portion of the team’s schedule on Saturday, October 24, (7:00 pm) when the Elmira Jackals visit Santander Arena.
