Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League, today announced that the team has signed forward Zac Frischmon to an ECHL Standard Players Contract. In a separate transaction, defenseman Maxim Lamarche was recalled by the Flyers and reassigned to the Phantoms.
Frischmon (5’10/180) (24), who hails from Ham Lake, Minnesota, recently completed his senior season at Mercyhurst College, where he recorded nineteen points (7g-12a) and sixteen penalty minutes in 39 games with the Lakers. In 151 career games with Mercyhurst, Frischmon recorded fifty-six points (21g-35a) and thirty-two penalty minutes. He will wear number 12 for Reading in tonight’s game against the Wheeling Nailers at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia. This is the fourth trip of the season to the AHL for Lamarche, a second year pro from Laval, Quebec. Lamarche has recorded seven goals and nineteen assists (twenty-five points) and fifty-four penalty minutes in fifty-one games with the Royals this season.
