Forward Brandon Alderson and Defenseman Brett Flemming Loaned to Reading

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Brandon Alderson and defenseman Brett Flemming have been loaned from Lehigh Valley to Reading.

This marks the second stint with the Royals for Alderson, a second year pro from Oakville, Ontario. He was assigned from the Phantoms to the Royals on November 28, 2014, and played fourteen games with Reading prior to being recalled on January 1, 2015. In his time with the Royals, Alderson registered seven points (3g-4a) and seventeen penalty minutes. In thirty-five games with Lehigh Valley, Alderson has seven points (3g-4a) and fifty-seven penalty minutes.

This is the third stint this season with Reading for Flemming, a fourth year pro who was born in Regina, Saskatchewan. In four games with the Royals, Flemming, who was selected as the Royals’ team Most Valuable Player last season, has four points (3g-1a) and nine penalty minutes. In thirty-seven games with the Phantoms, Flemming has recorded six points (0g-6a) and thirty-nine penalty minutes.

NEXT UP: The Royals continue the team’s current five game road swing at Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan on Friday (February 20 @ 7:30 pm et) where Reading will face the Kalamazoo Wings. As with all Royals’ road games this season, next Friday’s game will be televised live locally in Berks County, Pennsylvania, on BCTV courtesy of Boscov’s Travel and Apple Vacations. The game night broadcast for next Friday’s matchup can be heard live on CBS SportsRadio 1240 am and 98.5 in Reading, Pennsylvania, starting with the pre-game warm-up show presented by Highmark Blue Shield at 7:00 pm Eastern Time. Streaming audio is available free of charge on the Royals’ website (follow the ‘headset’ icon); and streaming video is available on a pay-per-view basis through ECHL.TV.
