Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League, take this opportunity to thank everyone who came out to the Sovereign Performing Arts Center in Reading this evening to attend the team’s annual Town Hall Meeting.
We would also like to express our sincere thanks to team Owner Jack Gulati, team President Drew Bell, Head Coach Larry Courville, Lehigh Valley Phantoms Executive Vice-President Chris Porreca, and Flyers President Paul Holmgren for graciously answering questions posed by the fans. And, of course, most of all, we want to thank our fans for attending.
Among many of the topics addressed at the THM, the Royals announced the team’s 2014-15 slogan ‘A Royal Experience,’ detailed several brand new promotions (including the Free Shirt Friday promotion presented by V&M Towing), unveiled the Royals’ new purple jerseys, and introduced several members of the team’s new ice-team, the Royal Ladies. The panelists also discussed a wide range of topics including the Royals new affiliation relationship with the Flyers and Phantoms, the team’s current roster, the new divisional alignment in the ECHL, and the Royals’ broadcast plans.
The Royals open the 2014-15 season on Saturday, October 18, at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia, where the team will face the Wheeling Nailers. The home portion of the schedule will kick off the following Saturday (October 25, 2014 @ 7:05 pm) when the Elmira Jackals travel to Santander Arena. Royals’ season tickets are currently available.
