Royals Trade Defenseman Nick Bruneteau to Indy Fuel

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the NHL and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the AHL, today announced that the team has traded the ECHL rights to defenseman Nick Bruneteau to the Indy Fuel of the ECHL in return for future considerations.

Last season, Bruneteau, who hails from Omaha, Nebraska, joined the Royals in early April after the completion of his senior season at the University of Vermont. Bruneteau, who was originally signed to an Amateur Tryout Agreement, signed a Standard Players Contract with Reading on April 11. He ended up playing five regular season games with the Royals without registering any points or penalty minutes. Bruneteau played one post-season contest for Reading and was assessed with two penalty minutes.

The Royals open the 2014-15 season on Saturday, October 18, at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia, where the team will face the Wheeling Nailers. The home portion of the schedule will kick off the following Saturday (October 25, 2014 @ 7:05 pm) when the Elmira Jackals travel to Santander Arena. Royals’ season tickets are currently available.
