Royals Set a Date for the Great Eight

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League, today announced the dates and opponents for the Great Eight—the top eight game night events currently on the team’s promotional calendar.

The Great Eight are:

1. OPENING NIGHT: Saturday, October 25, 2014 (7:05 pm) v Elmira Jackals

2. VETERANS NIGHT: Saturday, November 8, 2014 (7:05 pm) v Fort Wayne Komets

3. NEW YEAR’S EVE CELEBRATION: Wednesday, December 31, 2014 (5:35 pm) v Elmira Jackals

4. PINK IN THE RINK: Saturday, January 10, 2015 (7:05 pm) v Evansville Icemen

5. PENN STATE UNIVERSITY / THON NIGHT: Saturday, February 7, 2015 (7:05 pm) v Florida Everblades

6. SCOUTS OF AMERICA NIGHT: Saturday, March 7, 2015 (7:05 pm) v Toledo Walleye

7. AUTISM AWARENESS NIGHT: Sunday, March 15, 2015 (5:05 pm) v Kalamazoo Walleye

8. FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT: Saturday, April 11, 2015 (7:05 pm) v Indianapolis Ice

Several of the promotional events in the Great Eight are traditional fan favorites, such as the Pink in the Rink Celebration; and a couple of the others are brand new to the Royals’ promotional schedule, such as this season’s New Year’s Eve Celebration.
