Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that goaltender Brandon Anderson has been reassigned by the Capitals from the Bears to the Royals. Anderson, a second year pro from Langley, British Columbia, was recalled to Hershey for the second time this season on December 17. He has not yet appeared in a game for the Bears. In nine games with the Royals this season, Anderson has compiled a 4-4-1-0 record with a 3.00 goals against average and a .884 save percentage.
The Royals return to action tonight (Friday, January 3 @ 7:15 pm) when the team will face the Toledo Walleye at Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio. The game night broadcast on CBS Sports Radio 1240 am and 98.5 will kick off with the Highmark Blue Shield Warm-Up Show at 6:45 pm on the Royals Broadcast Network. As with all Royals’ road games, tonight’s matchup will be televised locally in Berks County, Pennsylvania on BCTV courtesy of Boscov’s Travel and Apple Vacations.
