Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that the team has loaned forward Sean Wiles to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL. This marks the first trip of the season to the AHL for Wiles, a third year pro from Beloit, Wisconsin. He has registered three goals, one assist (four points) and seven penalty minutes in nine games with the Royals. Wiles, who scored the power play game winner for the Royals in Sunday’s 2-1 win over the Wheeling Nailers, played three games with the Sound Tigers last season.
Reading returns to action on Friday (November 15 @ 7:30 pm), when the team will travel to Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to face the Kalamazoo Wings for the first time this season. Friday’s game night broadcast on CBS Sports Radio in Reading (1240 am and 98.5 fm) will kick off at 7:00 pm with the pre-game warm-up show presented by High Mark Blue Shield. Friday’s game, as with all Royals’ road games this season, will be televised locally in Berks County, Pennsylvania, on BCTV courtesy of Boscov’s Travel and Apple Vacations.
