Three More Return to Reading from AHL Training Camps

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that the following players have been released from AHL Training Camps: (i) forward Ian O’Connor (Manchester Monarchs); (ii) forward Sean Wiles (Bridgeport Sound Tigers); and (iii) defenseman Bobby Shea (Rockford IceHogs). O’Connor and Wiles are under ECHL contract with the Royals. Shea, who was previously signed to an ECHL contract with Reading, was signed to an AHL contract by Rockford while in camp with the IceHogs.

The on-ice practice sessions for the Royals’ 2013-14 Pre-Season Training Camp begin this Saturday (October 5, 2013) at 10:00 am at the Sovereign Center and continue through Thursday, October 17. The Training Camp Schedule is set out below. All Training Camp on-ice practice sessions will be held at the Sovereign Center and are open to the public.

The Royals kick off the defense of the team’s 2013 Kelly Cup Championship on Saturday, October 19, 2013, (7:35 pm), at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania, with the 2013-14 season opener against the South Carolina Stingrays.
