First Year Pro Makes Fifth Trip to AHL
Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that Capitals have recalled goaltender Brandon Anderson from the Royals and assigned him to Hershey. For Anderson, a first year pro from Langley, British Columbia, this is the fifth time that he has been recalled to Hershey. He has yet to appear in an AHL game. In fifteen appearances with the Royals this season, Anderson has compiled a record of 8-6-0-1 with a 3.05 goals against average and a .880 save percentage with two shutouts. The Royals take on the Orlando Solar Bears at Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania on Friday, March 8 @ 7:05 pm. That night we will have Slapshot’s Birthday celebration presented by the Miller Law Group. The first 1000 fans eighteen years of age and older that night will receive a travel mug courtesy of the Perfetto Insurance Agency. There will be a post-game ‘Clam Shoot’ courtesy of the Seafood Shanty. The game day broadcast on Friday will kick off on CBS Sports Radio 1240 am and 98.5 fm at 6:35 pm with the Pre-Game Warm-Up Show presented by Steve Moyer Subaru.
