Reading Scores on First Three Power Play Opportunities to Beat the ‘Blades

Estero, FL – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, defeated the Florida Everblades, 4-2 at Germain Arena in Estero, Florida. Reading scored on the team’s first three power play goals, including a five-on-three game winner in the second period by David Marshall to hold off the Everblades and snap a two game slide for Reading. Goaltender Riley Gill made 24 saves to pick up a win in his first game as a Royal. The Royals continue a three game road trip in Florida tomorrow (Thursday, February 28 @ 7:00 pm) against the Orlando Solar Bears at Amway Center, in Orlando, Florida. The Game Day Broadcast tonight kicks off at 6:30 pm on CBS Sports Radio (1240 am and 98.5 fm). As with all Royals road games, Wednesday’s game will be televised locally in Berks County, Pennsylvania, on BCTV courtesy of Boscov’s Travel and Apple Vacations.
