Third Year Pro Makes First Trip of Season to AHL
Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that the team has loaned defenseman Adam Comrie to the Worcester Sharks of the AHL. Comrie, a third year pro who hails from Ashburn, Virginia, has scored seventeen goals and picked up sixteen assists (thirty-three points) and 106 penalty minutes in forty-five games with Reading. Comrie, who currently leads the Royals and defensemen in the ECHL in goals scored, has played to a team-leading plus-22 (+22) in his time in Reading. This is the first trip this season to the AHL for Comrie, who has played 44 career AHL games. The Royals continue a season long five-game road trip today (Wednesday, February 6 @ 7:05pm) when the team travels to First Arena in Elmira, New York, to take on the Elmira Jackals. The game day broadcast will kick off on CBS Sports Radio 1240 am and 98.5 fm at 6:35 pm with the Pre-Game Warm-Up Show presented by Steve Moyer Subaru. As with all Royals road games this season, Friday’s game will be televised locally in Berks County, Pennsylvania on BCTV courtesy of Boscov’s Travel and Apple Vacations.
