Royals Release Forward Brandon Blandina

Kirk MacDonald Activated from Reserve List and Danick Paquette Placed on Reserve

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that the organization has released forward Brandon Blandina from his ECHL contract. In separate transactions, the Royals also activated forward Kirk MacDonald from the team’s Reserve list and placed forward Danick Paquette on Reserve. Blandina, a first year pro from Gilroy, California, played four games for the Royals without registering any points or penalty minutes. Prior to signing with Reading, Blandina scored a goal and assisted on two other in seven games with the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL. The Royals return to action tonight (Friday, January 4 @ 7:05 pm), when the team travels to First Arena in Elmira, New York to take on the Elmira Jackals. As with all Royals road games this season, Friday’s game will be televised locally in Berks County on BCTV courtesy of Boscov’s Travel and Apple Vacations. The Game Night Broadcast kicks off at 6:35 pm on Sports Radio 1240 am and 98.5 fm.
