Reading Also Releases Forward Blandon Blandina from His ECHL Contract

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that the team has traded forward Carlo Finucci to the Evansville Icemen of the ECHL in exchange for future considerations. In a separate transaction, the Royals released forward Brandon Blandina from his ECHL contract with the team. Finucci, a first year pro from Burnaby, British Columbia, was signed to an ECHL contract with the Royals on Friday, November 16. He did not appear in a game for Reading. The Royals claimed the ECHL rights to Blandina, a first year pro from Centennial, Colorado, after he was waived by the Elmira Jackals. He, too, was signed last Friday by the Royals. Blandina appeared in two games with the Royals without registering any points or penalty minutes. The Royals return to action on Wednesday (November 21 @ 7:05 pm) when the South Carolina Stingrays visit the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania for the first time this season. The first 1500 fans who are twenty-one years of age and older will receive a plastic pint glass courtesy of All-Star Distributing. There will also be a post-game spiral ham shoot. The Game Night Broadcast on Wednesday kicks off at 6:35 pm on ESPN Radio (1240 am and 98.5 fm). Royals Multi-Game Flex-Plans are available for the Royals 2012-13 season presented by Steve Moyer Subaru by calling the Royals’ office (610-898-7825) or by visiting www.royalshockey.com.
