First Year Pro Out of University of Alaska-Fairbanks Played One Game this Season with Las Vegas Wranglers
Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that the team has signed forward Carlo Finucci to an ECHL contract. Finucci, a first year pro from Burnaby, British Columbia, played one game this season with the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL without registering any points or penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro, Finucci recorded 53 points (18g-35a) and 42 penalty minutes in 112 collegiate games at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. Last year, at the conclusion of his senior season with the Nanooks, Finucci joined the Wranglers for his first three games of pro. The Royals play for the first time in team history against the Evansville Icemen at Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana tomorrow, Sunday, November 18 at 6:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. The game night broadcast will kick off on ESPN Radio 1240 am and 98.5 with the Steve Moyer Subaru Pre-Game Show at 5:30 pm EST. (Please note that ESPN Radio will join the Pittsburgh Steelers’ game night broadcast on Sunday immediately upon the conclusion of the Royals game against the Icemen.)
