Second Year Goaltender Played Two of Reading’s First Three Games
Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that goaltender Philipp Grubauer has been reassigned from Reading to Hershey. In a separate transaction, the Royals also activated forward David Civitarese from the Reserve List. Grubauer, a second year pro from Rosenheim, Germany, has appeared in two games for the Royals, compiling a record of 0-2-0-0, with a 2.56 goals against average and a .900 save percentage. Civitarese has played two games with the Royals without registering any points or penalty minutes. The Royals return to action on Sunday, October 21, when the Royals will face the Wheeling Nailers at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania.
