Reading Also Claims Defenseman Brock Shelgren off Waivers

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that defenseman Julien Brouillette has been recalled to the Bears from the Royals. The Royals also claimed the ECHL rights to defenseman Brock Shelgren, who was released by the Greenville Road Warriors of the ECHL, off waivers. Brouillette, who was assigned to the Royals on Wednesday, picked up a pair of penalty minutes in last night’s 3-1 loss to the Trenton Titans. Shelgren (5’10/184) (24), a first year pro who hails from Chicago, Illinois, played one game with the Road Warriors, registering four penalty minutes. The Royals return to action on Sunday, October 21, when the Royals will face the Wheeling Nailers at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania.
