Six Royals Invited to AHL Training Camps

Denny Urban Will Attend Abbotsford Heat Camp and Five Others Headed to Hershey

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that six players currently signed to ECHL contracts with the Royals will attend AHL training camps. Defenseman Denny Urban has accepted an invitation to attend training camp with the Abbotsford Heat; while forwards Tyler Gron, David Marshall and Jesse Todd and defensemen Adam Comrie and Brad Walch will attend Hershey’s camp. The Royals Pre-Season Training Camp on-ice practice sessions are open to the public and begin on Monday, October 1, 2012, at 7:00 pm the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania. The Royals open the 2012-13 regular season in Elmira, New York, on Friday, October 12, 2012, when the team will take on the Elmira Jackals at 7:05 pm. The next night, Saturday, October 13, 2012, the Royals open the home season when the Titans visit the Sovereign Center at 7:05 pm.
