Reading Kicks Off Twelfth Season with Annual THM Featuring Reps from Team’s New Affiliates
Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, take this opportunity to thank the overflowing crowd of fans who were able to attend tonight’s annual Town Hall Meeting at the Sovereign Center. The organization would also extend our sincere thanks to the team’s new affiliates—the Capitals and Bears—for having representatives available to answer the open forum-styled questions from fans regarding the 2012-13 season. Town Hall attendees were welcomed by SMG Regional General Manager Zane Collings, who addressed several of the new and exciting elements added to the Sovereign Center this season, including the brand new ‘Fan-Attic’ merchandise outlet located on the arena’s main concourse. Royals’ General Manager Mark Wallace spoke to the organization’s promotional calendar, specifically addressing several of the new events—as well as traditional favorites—that the team will host this season. The hockey operations issues were handled by the Capitals’ Assistant General Manager and Director of Legal Affairs Don Fishman, Bears’ Head Coach Mark French, and Royals’ Head Coach Larry Courville. The grit and skill were supplied by currently signed Royals’ players: defenseman Denny Urban and, Lititz, Pennsylvania native, forward Trevor Lewis. Once again, the Royals would like to thank Don Fishman, Coach French, Coach Courville, Denny Urban and Trevor Lewis—and of course, all of our great fans—who joined us at the Sovereign Center tonight to kick off the twelfth season of Royals’ hockey.
