Reading Royals Announce Education Day Games for the 2026–27 Season

Schools and students will have the opportunity to experience hockey in an educational setting at the Santander Arena:

📅 Tuesday, November 17, 2026 – 10:30 AM
📅 Tuesday, February 9, 2027 – 10:30 AM

All K-12 schools are invited to join us for a one-of-a-kind field trip experience, where students can enjoy the excitement of professional hockey while engaging with STEM-aligned educational materials covering math, science, geography, and more. Free bus parking will be available on Penn Street and surrounding the Santander Arena. 

Ticket Options for Students & Schools:

🎟️ $12 – Game Ticket
🌭🥤 $18 – Game Ticket + Hot Dog + Drink
🧢🌭🥤 $20 – Game Ticket + Hot Dog + Drink + Royals Hat

Although these games are designed for school groups, Royals365 Season Members and the general public are still welcome to attend. Season Ticket Members who are unable to make the morning game will have the option to exchange their ticket(s) for a future 2026-27 regular season home game.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time do doors open?
Doors will open approximately 60 minutes prior to puck drop at 9:30am

How long is the game?
A typical Education Day game lasts about 2.5 hours, including stoppages and intermissions.

Is there a registration deadline?
There is no official deadline, but availability is limited. Early booking is strongly recommended.

How are tickets distributed?
Tickets can be distributed via email or printed and delivered to your school, coordinated directly with your Royals sales representative.

Can schools be seated together?
Yes—every effort will be made to keep school groups seated together or in close proximity. We recommend booking early to help ensure your group is seated together.

What payment methods are accepted?
Schools can pay their invoice via check or credit card. 

Are chaperones required?
Yes, we recommend one chaperone per 10–15 students depending on age group and school policy.

Is the arena cashless?
Yes, Santander Arena is a cashless facility. However, select concession stands may accept cash during Education Day games only.

Where can we park our bus?
Bus parking will be available behind the arena on Cherry Street, in a lot off Lemon Street, and if necessary, in front of the arena on Penn Street. Your Royals representative can provide exact directions.
