Radio Recon's Ready for Another Minuteman Marksman to Load, Aim and Fire

Sinking Spring, PA – The Reading Royals cordially invite you to join us tomorrow night (Tuesday, January 5, 2016) from 6 – 7 pm at Jimmy G’s Railroad House Sports Bar and Restaurant (152 Woodrow Avenue, Sinking Spring, PA; 610-678-1177) for Radio Recon, the Royals’ weekly coach’s show.

Everyone knows that the host tries his best not to play favorites, but for anyone associated with the Royals, it’s hard not to jump on the UMass-Amherst bandwagon—it just seems like we’ve had more than our share of quality players (and people) from the school that some might consider the ‘little cousin’ of the big Boston programs. Case in point, Mikey Marcou, who’s back for a second stint in Reading and has pretty much picked up right where he left off last spring, playing his nasty Long-Island style of defense and threading through that low, hard bullet from the point at the other end of the ice. We’ll talk about that and maybe what he thinks about his beloved Islanders playing in front of the hipsters in Brooklyn. We’ll also talk with Assistant Coach Kirk MacDonald, who may not be a hipster, but if you give him a day or two, he can grow as trendy a beard as anyone there is in the micro-brewing business…

As always, we welcome any and all comments and questions from the fans at Radio Recon. We might also come up with a little crazy trivia and giveaways for those who participate in the show. Royals Radio Recon will be broadcast live on the Royals Broadcast Network (CBS Sports Radio 1240 am and 98.5 fm in Reading).
